New Hampshire native who began his career journey in graphic design.  An artist at heart, he found his way to southern California where he excelled as a marketing director.  It was during this time that he travelled for business to 25 states including Germany, Mexico, and Canada, when he learned just how much of a “foodie” he had become.

Food became his passion and the focal point for his artistic and creative energy. Rick decided to chase his culinary dream and leave the corporate marketing world behind.  He moved to Charlotte NC where he graduated from Johnson and Wales University’s Culinary Arts Program.  Since graduation in 2007, his food service experience includes various Charlotte restaurants, high-end catering companies, Carolina Panther food services, stage cooking at multiple festivals throughout the southeast, Executive Chef/Food & Beverage Director at small and large retirement communities, Director of Dining at UNC Greensboro, and most recently a Chef Manager for a corporate café.  As he reflects on his food service experience in North Carolina, what he has found is a true appreciation of Southern cuisine and culture.  Thus, the birth of FIXINS.
